Associate Prof Rohina Joshi, a Scientia Fellow and National Heart Foundation Future Leader Fellow, is public health physician who works on developing low-cost healthcare models for chronic disease management in resource-limited settings. Her research interests include strengthening health systems using task-sharing between physician and non-physician health workers to deliver quality health care in resource poor settings. Her other research interests include improving health information systems in low and middle income countries using verbal autopsy methods and has conducted several large scale verbal autopsy studies in India and China. She is currently involved in Bloomberg Philanthropies funded Data for Health Initiative. She co-chairs the verbal autopsy working group across the initiative and leads the implementation program in The Philippines.
